As students across West Baton Rouge Parish return to classrooms in Port Allen, Brusly, and Addis, it’s a great time to celebrate the opportunities that help prepare them for success beyond graduation.
This summer, students participating in the West Baton Rouge Career Academy’s Industry Experience Summer Camp gained firsthand exposure to careers that help drive Louisiana’s economy. Through site visits and hands-on learning experiences, students explored skilled trades, industrial careers, and technical professions while connecting with industry leaders and professionals from across the region.
Programs like the Industry Experience Summer Camp are a testament to the forward-thinking leadership of the West Baton Rouge School System and Career Academy. By providing students with real-world experiences outside the classroom, they are helping young people better understand the career opportunities available to them and make more informed decisions about their futures.
Live Oak CCS was proud to support this year’s program and help make those experiences possible. Investing in education and workforce development is one of the most meaningful ways we can support the communities where we hope to live, work, and partner for many years to come.
As the Live Oak CCS project progresses, we are committed to being a long-term community partner in the region by supporting local schools, workforce development initiatives, and programs that create opportunities for future generations.
We commend the WBR Career Academy, educators, and community partners who continue to invest in the next generation. Together, we can continue creating opportunities for local students, supporting educational excellence, and building a community where future generations can thrive. Together, we can build a safer, stronger economic future for West Baton Rouge Parish.
